THE YARDBIRDS
"Ten Little Indians"
Master Session Reels Takes 1-14 (1967)

Written By Harry Nilsson

From the Jimmy Page/Mickie Most version of the Yardbirds, circa 1967. These are unofficial recordings, capturing the band working on Nilsson's "Ten Little Indians," intended for the
Little Games album. It was just the beginning of Nilsson's career, but the Yardbirds were starting to wind down around this time - a long way from the Clapton era, beyond the Beck years and now slowing starting to morph into Led Zeppelin. Why were the Yardbirds even doing pop stuff like Nilsson's in the first place? Credit/blame producer Mickie Most, who was steering the band towards a more commercial pop sound. Page would eventually come up with a better idea. Hear Take 9 below. HERE.
