Nilsson Sings Nilsson. Here's the latest video from Kief O. Nilsson (son of Nilsson, who also goes by the moniker, Kiefo), a cover of dad's "Old Forgotten Soldier." Here's what Kief says about it; "This is one of my all-time favorite Nilsson songs, but I've always wanted it to be a little more developed. So, I wrote another verse for it and changed up some of the chords a little. I did this in three takes and while this one is not the most technically perfect of the three, I think it carried the feeling the best." According to his YouTube profile, Kiefo is primarily a bassist (though he plays different instruments in the videos) and has a clean pop vocal style that should appeal to his dad's fans. The vids sometimes end with a little touch of self-effacing humor, also. We'll add more videos here if and when they surface. View the following performances above.

Glad you put Kiefo int the light. This place is the place where he belongs indeed. Hope he will participate and speak (event if it's not easy to speak on Harry's name or his own name). He sure has a great talent and he deserves his place more than anybody. I wish I (we) know more about him and how he lives with all this huge heritage. Come on, Kiefo, gotta get up ;-)

The apple didn't fall far from the tree. Beautiful voice & a natural sense of humor. Kiefo needs to be doing a tribute album for his old man.
Considering how good these covers of his papa are...I'm hoping he also starts doing some original material.
What kind of instrument he plays this time on Early In The Morning ? Cup Of tea ???

I think a person with great talent must deserves his place more than anybody.i wish they must keep going!!
I just wanted to chime in with some kiefo info. I was "online friends" with him for a good 4 or 5 years, and he is an awesome guy. We were both very interested in jaco pastorius as well as hip-hop. Before youtube, he was uploading his works through talkbass.net, and plays a killer portrait of tracy as well as chromatic fantasy. Miss ya kiefo!

Hey, I just saw that he added a cover of Maybe two weeks ago. You can see a poster of Harry's film on the wall behind. Nice.
