Mojo (April 2008)

The April '08 issue of the UK's most essential Mojo magazine features a well-researched, 7 page spread on everybody's favorite Harry. As usual, Mojo has managed to dig up some rare, unseen photographs and has talked to many of the usual suspects - Van Dyke Parks, Perry Botkin, Curtis Armstrong, among others - about Harry's highs & lows. Author Erik Himmelsbach notes on his blog that the piece was originally turned in to Mojo in August, 2004. Click on each page for an easy to read enlargement, then visit www.mojo4music.com for Mojo's cheeky gathering of YouTube clips documenting portions of Harry's career. The world's best rock mag (especially for us 60s types) even included a link at the bottom of the page that will send you right back here... to For The Love Of Harry.

thanks for sharing & congrat's! -seems there's almost a Kerouac angle to the Harry saga-- the great roman candle-bursting artistry fueled & fouled by D-rug-S & alcohol; the early acceptance/fame; then a struggle for respect, support from a fickle public & clueless 'suits'; early tragic deaths and snowballing afterlife reputations...a quintessential Americanness comes through their work

Thanks Willard for EVERYTHING on this site. Im sure everybody agrees. I think Harry would thank you also, for keeping his great talent alive.

Re: Harrys last unreleased album... surely Ringo could put his hand in his pocket with the aid of his record company to get it out to the public. Or do what Radiohead did, release it on the web for a donation.

Do it !! Especially after Harrys documentry is out on dvd... more public interest in Harry, to buy the album.
